Hey Everyone… Happy Thursday. Today what I want to do is show you how to use your pressing ham to drape the crown portion of a fleece hat. This is how I designed the pattern I used to on Tuesday’s Episode of JSDTV. If you missed it, click here to check it out. If you’ve never made a fleece hat before, I show you how to construct a reversible hat, step-by-step. Here’s the free hat pattern: The Reversible Cozy Fleece Hat Pattern
So, doing “Quick Tips” is going to be a challenge for me… I had almost 30 minutes of footage to edit down to the snappy quick tip format. I did it as fast as I could…about 10 minutes. But each minute is jam packed with details. This topic really wasn’t quick tip material, but I really wanted to show you how I did it, just in case you want to try it! Hats are one of those accessories that can cost a bunch of money, so I’m feeling pretty happy that I made a pattern that I can use to sew up a whole family’s worth of hats…it’s really stretching my fa la la la la budget.
And, just to update you on the Ponte Knit Jean Patterns… they are coming along as well. I’m hoping to have them finished by the end of next week! Of course, I will need to test the different sizes and such, but I’m getting there If anyone is interested in being a pattern tester, please email me at jenniferstern1@cox.net. Next week I’m also going to show you some really quick-to-make gifts for sewers! Very fun. (And, there’s no sewing required!)
Anyway, check it out… if you have questions about how to design or copy a favorite hat, please let me know. Happy Sewing (and designing) xoxo Jen
